OnePlus 12 Long Term Review for Design and build quality

OnePlus 12 is cut from the same design cloth as its predecessors, marrying a minimalist exterior and unassuming, good vibes to the remarkable technologies within. A Marble-like back, brushed to a cool, luxurious finish, not only perfectly complements the current colour palette but also feels fantastic in the grip. Its frontvelled to a perfectly smooth curve, signalling its high-end code, while the camera module on the rear offers a twisted sports watch shape, or more closely to this device, a hollowed-out, curved camera arrangement. Working with the broad lines of the OnePlus 11’s design language, the new OnePlus 12 appears to have been sleeked down. Its camera case mimics that of previous models, pulling the lens in closer to its base – until now, a unique signature defining the chiselled feel of OnePlus products.

OnePlus 12 Long Term Review for Camera: Hasselblad Partnership for Stunning Photography

The OnePlus 12, which features the same style collaboration with Hasselblad as its predecessor, performs admirably considering its specification, which includes 50MP (f/1.6 aperture), 48MP (f/2.2 aperture), and 64MP (f/2.6 aperture) cameras that serve as main, ultra-wide, and periscope telephoto respectively, and a highly capable 32MP (f/2.4 aperture) selfie camera.

OnePlus 12 Long Term Review for Battery: Impressive Life and Lightning-Fast Charging

The OnePlus 12 has a 5,400mAh battery, which can last over 24 hours in normal usage, and even with heavier usage it never becomes a problem. But the icing on the cake here are the 100W SuperVOOC charging abilities, which can take a completely dead phone to 100% fully charged in 26 minutes (and even when the phone is at 50% charge, it charges at a rate 1.5 times faster than the placebo charging rate provided by a standard 10W charger). In fact, the 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging is even faster than many of the wired charging solutions in the market.

The SUPERVOOC S Charging Management Chip keeps battery charging at max efficiency and safety, while also enabling users to define how the battery continues to run based on whichever apps and services they are using the most. With such a long battery life and power surge-safe technology, the OnePlus 12 smartphone is likely to be the blazing-fast machine a gadget-happy health entrepreneur would love.

Battery Features:

  • 5,400mAh Battery: Long-lasting performance with full-day use.
  • 100W SuperVOOC Fast Charging: Charges from 0 to 100% in just 26 minutes.
  • 50W Wireless Charging: Fast, reliable wireless charging speeds.
  • SUPERVOOC S Chip: Ensures efficient and safe charging.

  • Long-lasting battery for all-day use.
  • Super-fast wired and wireless charging.

Cons:

  • Slight heating during fast charging.

Software: OxygenOS 14 Delivers a Smooth Experience

The OnePlus 12 is powered by OxygenOS 14 atop Android 14. A beautiful and customisable user experience, OxygenOS allows you to personalise almost everything, from Alwaysstep vibration, and – from (respectively to extreme.

Software changes too: Quick Glance, which is a replacement for Google Discover on the leftmost screen, alerts when you raise your wrist; Smart Sidebar, accessible by swiping from the side of the display, has shortcuts; and split-screen multitasking and Flexible Windows make multitasking smoother.

But, overall, OxygenOS is a very good performer – though the bloatware can disappoint those who prefer a bare OS interface.

Pros:

  • Highly customizable and easy-to-use software.
  • Great multitasking features like split-screen and Flexible Windows.

Cons:

  • Presence of bloatware might be a drawback for some users.
