Thalapathy 69: Vijay’s Grand Cinematic Farewell

On the eve of a major milestone in the Tamil film industry, Thalapathy 69 movie is the last film of the Thalapathy Vijay(the Box Office King). Directed by H Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions. However, with this being the actor’s final film before he permanently quits cinema to enter politics, the film takes on an added poignancy. It also marks Vijay’s Last dance on the big screen. The fans views it is dual celebration of his on-screen acting and that of the man embarking on a new chapter in his life.

Story:The film’s story is expected to be a mix of political drama and action, with Vijay playing a larger-than-life hero. The film’s poster hints that Vijay will play a “torch bearer of democracy“

Director: H Vinoth, who’s been very successful with his films Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru and an Ajith Movie Thunivu. He has asserted that the film will predominantly be a 200 percent Thalapathy film’ and not have strong political undertones, but entertain and be lighthearted.

Production: KVN Productions is producing their first Tamil Flim. The production house expressed its excitement to work with Vijay, the first teaser poster also released through social media.

Release Date: Thalapathy 69 is scheduled for release on October 2025 to reach the maximum number of audiences across language demographics, simultaneously in Tamil,Telugu,Kannada and Hindi.

Music Director: Thalapathy 69’s background score and songs are composed by Anirudh Ravichander, working with Vijay for the fifth time, after their four huge hits, Kaththi (2014), Master (2021), Beast (2022) and Leo (2024). This is also the first time the two have worked with each other, the director and the music composer.

Reports say that Vijay going to sing first rap song with Asal Kolaar for thalapathy 69. There has been immense hype surrounding the new song, particularly as fans wait to hear which songs will feature in Vijay’s final theatrical gig.

Thalapathy 69 has an enviable cast consisting of the lead, Thalapathy Vijay, the main villain in the film, Bobby Deol, making his Tamil debut, who recently made a big splash in the thriller Race 3 in 2018, the very lovely female lead Pooja Hegde, who was Vijay’s co-star in Beast, Mamitha Baiju, who has played important roles in the recent Malayalam blockbusters Madhura Rajaand Kalki, and the seasoned actor Prakash Raj, back for a fifth outing with the thalapathy, veteran grandmaster Narain, Priyamani and the filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon, who also joins them for the first time. This terrific ensemble assures a smashing hit for Vijay’s last movie before he can embark on his political career
